Excitement, fun & science: A case for A-AAgora!

Excitement, fun and science. That's three things at once. That's really not possible!? But yes, indeed it is! With the interactive mini-game “A case for A-AAgora” you solve exciting cases in the coastal regions of Portugal, Ireland and Norway and gain fascinating insights into the local socio-ecological systems and their problems and threats. The solutions are based on the cooperation of the local population and their creativity.

The EU project A-AAgora is part of the European Commission's mission to “Restore our oceans and waters by 2030” as part of the “Atlantic-Artic Lighthouse” initiative. The project is based on cross-sector collaboration to restore marine and coastal ecosystems and increase climate resilience through transformative innovation.

Here we present a powerful gamification approach that promotes stakeholder engagement, capacity building and knowledge sharing. The game gives local actors a voice, raises public awareness and contributes to education and decision-making. Play along!
