The Tagesschau Future Podcast "mal angenommen" is on the search for a sustainable fishery of the future, with guest scientist Marie-Catherine Riekhof, director of the Center for Ocean and Society. She states: satellite control can contribute to sustainable fisheries - but only if the expenses for control and regulation do not exceed the profit. Together with Gerd Kraus, director of the Thünen Institute of Sea Fisheries in Bremerhaven, other key points of a viable fishery are discussed.
