Marine Transdisciplinarity Conference: Save the Date and Call for Sessions Proposals
10.09.2025

Marine transdisciplinarity: Co-evaluating the status quo and co-designing the way forward
The aim of the scientific conference is to present and reflect on the transdisciplinary research activities, theories and results in marine research. A special focus will be placed on the three research missions of the German Marine Research Alliance (DAM). An overview of the methods that have been and are being used will be compiled; a common understanding of terms will be developed; the research approaches and results to date will be discussed and co-evaluated together with stakeholders. The conference aims to promote the mutual exchange of experience and insights (learning from each other), develop ideas for improving research approaches (planning together) and increase the effectiveness of transdisciplinary approaches in terms of a transformation towards sustainability (creating impact together).
