Expeditions on the world's oceans are among the last adventures of mankind. Marine researchers explore the oceans in technically highly equipped research ships, record the seabed with acoustic methods and take sediment and water samples. But what is the process like on a research ship? How do the instruments get into the water? What laboratories are there? And what happens on the bridge? In the virtual tour with the German research vessel METEOR, researchers from Kiel University/Kiel Marine Science (KMS) provide insights into the processes on board.
