Together with Kiel marine biologist & science communicator Dr Frederike Tirre (Go Jelly / Center for Ocean and Society / CAU Kiel) and artist Meike Schlemmer, the Ocean Summit invites children aged approx. 8-12 years to a colourful afternoon on the topic of jellyfish on Friday, 4 November 2022 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. in Kiel's Seeburg (Düsternbrooker Weg opposite Kunsthalle).

The aim is to break down prejudices, reveal amazing knowledge about these wonderful creatures and then transfer this knowledge into a jellyfish art project that participants can take home with them. In addition, there will be further information material and the book "Anton and the Jellyfish Adventure" for each child. Finally, it's time to see "jellyfish in real life" - and go together to the nearby GEOMAR aquarium, where the colourful jellyfish afternoon will come to an end.

Participation is free of charge! For registration and questions please contact Katharina Troch from OCEAN SUMMIT at T 0431 9066 1313 (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm) // or by email to troch(at)boell-sh.de
