Anna-Lena Fetzer. M.Sc.

Vita
Anna-Lena Fetzer is a PhD candidate and research associate (M.Sc.) at the Center for Ocean and Society since April 2025. As part of the IMAPP project, she works on developing decision-making guidelines for the designation of marine protected areas in international waters, taking ecological, economic, and legal criteria into account.
She previously completed the Master’s program in Environmental and Resource Economics at Kiel University (CAU) and gained valuable experience as a research assistant at the Center for Ocean and Society. Her strong interest in climate and resource economics—particularly in marine CDR technologies and their potential contribution to ocean health and food security—led her to write her master’s thesis within the CDR-Mare project “Art-Up.”
