Vita

Charlene Glaeser has been working as a research assistant at the Center for Ocean and Society since May 2026. She earned her B.Sc. in Socio-Economics from Kiel University, where her thesis focused on socio-economic structural change in Lusatia. Since October 2025, she has been pursuing a master’s degree in Environmental and Resource Economics at Kiel University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of environmental economics, political economy, and maritime policy, with a particular focus on the institutional frameworks governing resource use and environmental policy.
