Vita

Frederike Tirre has worked for the BMBF project Humboldt Tipping and the EU project GoJelly in the field of science communication since March 2019 and develops outreach measures such as exhibition concepts, educational games, explanatory films, online content and corporate designs. 

After studying marine biology and specialising in science communication at the Rijksuniversität Groningen (Netherlands) (Master of Science in Education and Communication of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, 2011), Frederike Tirre worked and completed her doctorate at the Leibniz Institute for Science Education and Mathematics in Kiel on research-based outreach with a focus on science exhibitions in 2015. From 2015 to 2019 she worked as exhibition and social media coordinator for the Cluster of Excellence “The Future Ocean” at Kiel University, where she created and supervised national and international exhibitions on marine research.
