Kai de Graaf (M.A.) has been a research associate at the Center for Ocean and Society since March 2022. In the SpaCeParti project, he is responsible for the establishment and supervision of living labs in Stein-Wendtorf and Greifswald.

After studying prehistory and early history (archaeology), geology-paleontology and Scandinavian studies at the CAU Kiel, he worked in the field of education and outreach for various museums, at interfaces between science and society. Among other things, he was responsible as a leading museum educator for nature and environmental education at the foundation Wasserkunst Elbinsel Kaltehofe or for the content design of the ice age nature trail in the Ahrensburg tunnel valley.

Kai de Graaf is a trained educator and nature educator and has worked in these functions for various educational institutions. The focus was on supporting young and adult people in establishing sustainable relationships with nature and the environment.
