Pauline Fasse

Pauline Fasse is supporting the Team “Marine Food Security” as a research assistant since June 2025. Meanwhile she is completing her masters studies in Environmental geography and environmental management at the University of Kiel. The interdisciplinary bachelors in Environmental Sciences at the University of Freiburg with the Minor Subject in nature protection and landscape conservation provided the basis of interest and knowledge in the field of environmental management. Scientific communication and environmental education are of great importance to her, which motivated her to engage in the Science outreach lab of the University of Kiel and to complete a training for being a nature pedagogue with a focus on forests. She discovered her passion for coastal ecosystems in an Erasmus semester at the University of Padua/Chioggia where she got to know the Lagoons, salt marshes und the socioecological interactions of fishery and tourism with the coastal ecosystems in the area of Venice.
